June 7, 1967 at Municipal Stadium
Athletics 4, Tigers 2  (31-19)

The Tigers failed to sweep the A’s in their four game set and in the process, saw their four game winning streak come to an end.  Mickey Lolich was out pitched by Paul Lindblad.  Lolich gave up three runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings of work.  The big blow was a two run homerun by Rick Monday sixth inning that broke a 1-1 tie.

Al Kaline hit his eleventh homerun of the season.  Jim Northrup was two for two with a run and Bill Freehan had two hits and an RBI.
