Angels Extend Winning Streak to Four Games With Doubleheader Sweep Over Athletics

Jim McGlothlin gave the Angels nine quality innings in a game in which he improved to 8-2 on the season.  He gave up just two runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts.

Rick Reichardt had a big day at the plate. He went three for four with two homeruns, three RBIs and two runs.  Don Mincher hit a three run blast and Bob Schaal went yard with nobody on base.

The Angels won their fourth straight as they finished up a sweep of their doubleheader over the Athletics.  Jack Hamilton threw five decent innings and he improved to 2-1 on the season.  He gave up two runs on three hits and four walks with one strikeout in five innings.  Bill Kelson threw 3 2/3 shutout innings to close the game out and he picked up save number three.

Roger Repoz was the hitting star in this one.  He went three for four with two doubles, two run and two RBIs.
