Angels Shutout Tigers For Fourth Straight Win

Angels 2 (24-32), Tigers 0 (31-21)

The Tigers were shutout out for the second straight game and the lost their third straight overall. This time it was Clyde Wright and Minnie Rojas who combined for the four hit shutout.  Wright won his first decision of the season and he gave up four hits and two walks in seven innings.  Rojas picked up his fifth save of the season with two perfect innings to close out the game.

Jose Cardenal was the Angels big hitter.  He went two for four with a homerun and he drove in both Angels runs.  Buck Rodgers doubled and scored.

Earl Wilson took the loss and he dropped to 8-5.  He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.  Don Wert was the only Tiger to reach base more then once.  He singled and drew a walk.
