The Angels once again pushed themselves to within a game of the .500 mark with a come from behind win against the Senators. Down 2-1, the Angels rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead and pick up the win. Buck Rodgers had the big hit with a two run double that capped off the three run inning. Rodgers was also the only Angel with two hits.
A solid start by Rickey Clark almost went to waste in the loss. He gave two runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in seven innings of work. Minnie Rojas picked up the win and he improved to 7-5. He gave up one hit with three strikeouts in two shutout innings.
