The Tigers picked up right where they left off after a three day lay off. Denny McLain threw a seven hit shutout to lead the way for the Tigers. He struck out four and didn’t yield a walk.
Dick McAuliffe hit homerun number 19 and he finished with two RBIs. Don Wert doubled twice and scored a run while Oyler had two singles, a run and an RBI.
