Earl Wilson Pitches Tigers to Third Straight Win

Tigers 3, Orioles 2  (62-52)

Earl Wilson won his 16th game as the Tigers won their four game series against the Orioles.  He gave up two runs on only four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in seven innings of work.  Lasher pitched the final two frames and he picked up his first save of the season.

Roy Oyler had the big hit for the Tigers. His three run homerun in the second inning gave the Tigers a 3-1 lead which held.  Al Kaline doubled and scored a run while Jim Price singled and scored.
