Jim Lonborg gave the Red Sox eight innings but he gave up five runs and fell to 7-2 on the season with a rough start. The Yankees tagged him for 12 hits and he gave up two walks with eight strikeouts.
Tony Conigiliaro went two for four with a solo homerun. Joe Foy continued his hot hitting and he belted his eighth homerun of the season.
