Senators 9, Angels 4 (36-38)
The Angels were so close but they couldn’t get back up to .500 because the Senators took care of Angels’ start Jim McGlothlin. He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings. The loss dropped his record to a still impressive 7-2 on the season.
Don Minchner went three for four with an RBI and he was the only Angel hitter with more then one hit. Paul Schall doubled, drove in one and scored two runs.
