Joe Horlen Throws Eight Shutout Innings In White Sox Win

White Sox 1 (34-23), Yankees 0

Joe Horlen improved to 8-0 on the season with a nice start in the White Sox 1-0 pitcher’s duel against the Yankees.  He gave up just four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.

Walt Williams had two hits and he also drove in the only run of the game for either side in the eighth inning.  Al Weis singled and scored a run.
