The Tigers made it three straight wins with another outstanding pitching performance. It was the Tigers third straight win and they dominated the Orioles in this series. In three games, the Orioles managed only a single run and all three Tiger starters threw complete games. Joe Sparma had the gem today. He threw a three hit shutout and walked four with one strikeout.
The Tigers managed only six hits and Don Wert had two of them and scored a run. Ray Oyler singled, walked and scored twice.
