The Red Sox blew a 5-2 lead and lost their series opener with the Orioles.  Bucky Brandon gave up four runs on six hits and he pitched six innings but it was John Wyatt who really got bombed.  He gave up four runs in the final two innings and he dropped to 2-2 on the season.

Carl Yastrzemski hit homerun number five and he went one for three with two runs.  George Scott also had a nice game and he went two for four with two triples and a run.
