June 8, 1967 at Comiskey Park
White Sox 5 (28-18), Red Sox 3 (24-24)
The Red Sox lost their third straight game in the first game of a doubleheader with the White Sox. Joe Horlen was the star of the game and he improved to 7-0 on the season with a nice start for the White Sox. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in a complete game. Dennis Bennett took the loss for the Red Sox. He fell to 4-2 on the season and he gave up five runs on ten hits and two walks with two strikeouts in eight innings.
Tommie Agee went three for four with two doubles and an RBI in the White Sox win. Ken Berry hit a two run homer and Jerry McNerty went two for three with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
For the Red Sox, Joe Foy hit a solo homerun. Carl Yastrzemski went two for four with an RBI.

Carl Yastrzemski led the way at the plate for the Red Sox as the snapped their three game losing streak in the second game of their doubleheader with the White Sox. He went four for five with his twelth homerun and two RBIs. Joe Foy went two for five with a double, a run and two RBIs.
Gary Bell improved to 2-5 on the season with a nice start. He gave up three runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts in a complete game. Bruce Howard took the loss and he was hit hard early. He gave up five runs and he didn’t even make it through the second inning.
Tommy McCraw was the hitting star for the White Sox in their loss. He went one for four but he drove in two of the White Sox three runs.
