Rickey Clark improved 5-6 on the season as the Angels continued what was, just a month ago, an unthinkable run.  He gave up just three hits and three walks with a strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.  Minnie Rojas struck out two in 1 2/3 perfect innings and he picked up save number eight.

Jim Fregosi went three for five with an RBI to lead the way for the Angels at the plate.  Jay Johnstone and Bobby Knoop both had two hits and a run.
