Rookie Billy Rohr Is Hit Hard in Red Sox Loss

by @ 8:46 am. Filed under 1967 Red Sox, 1967 Red Sox Diary - May

May 10, 1967 at Munical Stadium
Athletics 7, Red Sox 4 (11-12)

The Red Sox continued their rough May with their third straight series loss.  Things got off to a bad start in this one as Billy Rohr was hit hard for three runs in the third inning.  That only tied the game up though and it was Billy Stange who took the loss.  He gave up two runs in the seventh and he dropped to 0-2 on the season.

George Scott singled and drove in two runs in the loss.  Carl Yastrzemski doubled twice, drove in a run and scored.
