by @ 12:51 pm. Filed under 1967 Tigers, 1967 Tigers Diary - July

July 19, 1967 at Tiger Stadium
Senators 4, Tigers 2  (46-42)

The Tigers winning ways were short lived as Phil Ortega and Darold Knowles held the Tigers in check.  Don Wert hit a solo homerun for the Tigers and Jim Northrup singled and drove in a run but two runs wasn’t going to cut it in this game.

Mickey Lolich gave up two runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.  Fred Gladding ended up taking the loss when he gave up two runs in the top of the ninth to break a 2-2 tie.
