Squeeze Play Pushes Tigers to Fourth Straight Win

The Tigers came from behind to win their fourth straight game.  Down 2-0, Dick McAuliffe drove home Roy Oyler in the fifth inning to cut the lead in half.  Then in the eighth inning, Mickey Stanley’s triple drove in Norm Cash to tie the game and Roy Oyler’s sac. bunt drove home Stanley to give the Tigers the lead.

Johnny Podres got the start but he left after four innings of work.  Fred Gladding picked up the win and he improved to 3-3 while Mike Marshall picked up his third save of the season.
