Tigers Blowout Yankees For Third Straight Win

Tigers 11, Yankees 4  (49-42)

The Tigers turned on the offense to beat the Yankees in their third straight win.  Norm Cash had a huge game.  He went four for five with his twelth homerun.  He drove in five runs and scored three times.  Willie Horton hit a three run homerun and Dick McAuliffe and Don Wert scored twice.

Earl Wilson coasted to an easy win.  He improved to 12-8 and he gave up three runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings.  Mike Marshall pitched the final three frames and he picked up his seventh save of the season.
