Tigers Double Up Senators For Second Straight Win

Tigers 10, Senators 5  (23-13)

The Tigers had their second big hitting day in a row.  Against the Senators, they racked up ten runs on fourteen hits.  Seven different Tigers drove in runs and seven scored runs.

Dick McAuliffe had three hits and four runs in the game.  Al Kaline, Willie Horton and Bill Freehan all drove in a pair.

Joe Sparma didn’t take the win because he gave up five early runs and was gone after three innings.  Wickerson threw five innings of shutout relief and he improved to 2-0.  Fred Gladding picked up his seventh save of the season.
