Tigers Lose Fifth Straight Game

Senators 3, Tigers 2  (45-39)

The Tigers blew a two run lead and in the process lost their fifth straight game.  Mickey Lolich had thrown six scoreless innings but he gave up three runs in the seventh to lose. He dropped to 5-11 and he struck out nine in the start.

Roy Oyler tripled in a run and then later scored to account for the Tigers offens.  Bill Freehan singled twice and drew a walk to reach base three times in the game.
