Senators 3, Tigers 1 (45-38)
The Tigers post All Star break struggles continued as the Senators handed the Tigers their fourth straight loss. Earl Wilson was cruising along in this one but he gave up two runs in the bottom of the eighth to break a 1-1 tie that ended up being the difference.
Wilson dropped to 10-8 and he gave up three runs on four hits and four walks with eight strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings. Bill Freehan drove in the only Tiger run with a solo shot in the seventh inning.
