The Twins fantastic run continued with their eighth straight win and a four game series sweep over the Yankees. Rich Reese homered and drove in four runs while Ted Uhlaender went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs to lead the way for the Twins.
Jim Kaat picked up the win and he improved to 7-8. He gave up four runs on twelve hits and one walk with six strikeouts in a complete game.
